OVERVIEW
A More Complete
Inspection Workstation
An inspection booth is typically a larger manual visual inspection workstation designed around operator comfort, product staging, controlled lighting, and repeatable inspection technique.
Compared to a compact tabletop inspection hood, an inspection booth may include a dedicated work surface, integrated controls, storage, product handling areas, ergonomic positioning, and optional workstation accessories.
M Core Systems is evaluating booth configurations for customers that require a more complete pharmaceutical inspection station while maintaining the same focus on cleanability, usability, and controlled inspection conditions.
DEVELOPMENT FOCUS
Built Around Real Inspection Workflows
The goal is not just to make a larger hood. The goal is to create a practical inspection workstation that supports operator comfort, inspection consistency, and pharmaceutical production expectations.
Ergonomic Workstation
Designed around seated inspection, arm support, viewing position, and long-duration operator comfort.
Controlled Lighting
Focused on repeatable illumination, black and white contrast viewing, and practical lighting verification.
Product Staging
Space for trays, containers, rejects, accepted product, and workflow-specific handling requirements.
Cleanable Design
Material and construction choices aimed at pharmaceutical environments and GMP-focused cleaning practices.
CONFIGURATION AREAS
What the Booth Platform May Support
Final specifications are still being developed. The booth platform is being reviewed around practical customer needs rather than a one-size-fits-all layout.
Manual Visual Inspection
Workstation format for visual inspection of vials, syringes, cartridges, ampoules, and other pharmaceutical container formats.
Integrated Controls
Potential support for lighting control, pacing, user interface options, and process-focused workflow visibility.
Adjustable Work Area
Booth layout may support workstation height, operator posture, arm position, and product handling needs.
Tray and Product Handling
Configurable space for product staging, inspected product, reject segregation, and batch workflow organization.
Documentation Support
Designed with qualification, setup verification, cleaning documentation, and GMP program support in mind.
Custom Customer Needs
Custom booth requests can be reviewed for facilities requiring a specific layout, process flow, or inspection setup.
BOOTH VS. HOOD
Inspection Booth
vs. Inspection Hood
An inspection hood is typically a compact tabletop or benchtop unit that provides controlled lighting and black/white contrast backgrounds for manual visual inspection.
An inspection booth is generally a larger workstation format. It may include the inspection environment, table or work surface, operator support, staging space, controls, and additional workflow features in one integrated platform.
For customers that need a compact, ready-to-place inspection solution today, the M Core Systems Core product family remains the primary offering. For larger workstation-style needs, inspection booths are currently under development.
